Fish Caught: Yellowfin & Skipjack
My brother & I
went fishing on Sunday. We caught 15 skipjack & 3 yellowfin
just outside the nine mile bank.
The skippies were wide open
with jig strikes every 10 - 20 minutes.
We threw them all back
but they're fun on light line.
Lots of life out there.
Porpoise, whales (were inside), lots of birds & yes we even saw kelp paddys.
On one paddy we
saw a 3-5 lb yellowtail, but our monster sardines scared him away.
A
good thing though, he needed to grow up some. The only
other fish we found on a paddy that would bite was a yellowfin.
Look at the video.
For trolling we
used a Pink & White (a skippy favorite), Purple & Black, Mexican
flag & a Cedar plug. |
